The use of the Latin language for literary discussions in late medieval towns is exemplified by the edition of seven psalms which were composed by the Cartusian monk Erhard Groß for the town clerk Johannes Vorster. On the background of the Hussites new understanding of the Eucharist, the psalms discuss what kind of theology is appropriate for lai-men.
