The authors aim to present a new approach to search new turbo codes using genetic algorithms for 4/16/32/64-QAM modulation with additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel. Traditionally, the searching of a turbo code communication system is performed by using a priori evaluation functions and Monte Carlo procedures. In this paper by the use of an a posteriori procedure evaluation table with new codes for 4/16/32/64-QAM is presented, with high performance in regard to uncoded reference systems. (11 References).
