Abstract

In this article I describe a set of data-gathering and data-analysis techniques, developed during a small-scale study into the working processes of ‘professional’ poetry translators. I concentrate largely on the gathering and analysis of think-aloud protocols: real-time taped records of translators translating. I also describe some sample findings from the study.
