Between 2002- 2006 I developed the collection of souvenir scupltures. The sculpture - all depicting architectural places -often found in the periphery of towns in Britain and Europe are initally modelled by hand and than cast in plaster. They are exhibitied in such a way, that they evoque associations closely linked to those of memorials/ and burial objects. In the Kunsthalle Duesseldorf, the collection of souvenir sculptures (30 pieces) was exhibited on two 15 meter long tressel tables, alongside the floorpiece by Heike Pallanca, depicting a fictional earthquake and the security camera sculptures of Bogomir Ecker. The substantial catalogue (166 pages) reflects critically on the work of 30 artists in the context of contemporary late 20th /early 21st century sculpture.
