Female misogyny reflects a sexist prejudice and ideology within patriarchy that contributes to the explicit and subtle oppression of women by women, particularly through negative assessments of women who are counter-stereotypical. Female misogyny encapsulates the social processes, behaviours and activities women engage in, consciously or unconsciously, when they subjugate, undermine, exclude and stigmatize other women in organizations. Female misogyny encapsulates women’s violence towards other women and remains an under researched area of the shadow side of women’s experiences in management.
