Abstract

In this paper I set out some of the aspects of education as it is currently instantiated in the UK that illustrate how and why children, young people and teachers are affected by 'exclusive' education; that is modes of education that segregate and perpetuate a stratified society. with reference to Gibbs, Leat and Barrow (2023), 'Transforming Professional Practice in Education' I suggest that it would be in order to reframe education with human dialogue at its centre.
