This exhibition is part an action-research initiative to investigate the lived experiences of communities affected by wildfires in the Chiquitania region of Bolivia. This region hosts one of the largest and best-preserved dry forests in South America and worldwide and has seen a drastic increase in wildfires since 2019. The images shown are portraits of real people and places affected by wildfires, alternated to portraits and scenes from Forum Theatre performance work.The exhibition is touring galleries and universities including: Royal Geographical Society Annual International Conference in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, 25th August to 2nd September 2022.
