The immediacy of the problems connected with the resource efficiency grows from year to year. The problems are the most acute in the field of nture management and mineral mining. That is the reason for the current call for mining engineers capable to pursue professional development with regard to the advanced international experience and using foreign information resources. On the other hand, the available teaching materials and approaches to language education of future mining engineers lack adequate consideration of resource efficiency. In connection with this, it is required to introduce the Resource Efficiency component in the contents of language courses and in the organization of the educational process. The aim of this study is the development of the resource-effective technology for teaching students in mining and geology engineering in the first and second years of study at universities a foreign language in order to generate and develop skills and experience of successful and resource-effective activities both in education and professional occupation using a foreign language. The article gives an analysis of notion of resource efficiency and identifies basic trends of the related research. The authors consider resource efficiency in the context of language training of specialists in mining. The resource-efficient educational technology developed by the authors for language training of the to-be mining engineers is described. The methodological provisions forming the basis for the technology, with the basic components, stages and conditions of implementation are presented. The key criteria, indexes and methods for integrated evaluation of the efficiency of the proposed educational technology for language training are formulated.
