Abstract

© 2016 IEEE. The manufacturing industry is exploring the use of Internet of Things and cloud computing to enhance the efficiency of manufacturing plant operations, improve product quality, increase manufacturers' ability to respond to changing customer demands, and expand to new markets. Productivity, quality, safety, and the ability to respond quickly to changing conditions are essential to maintaining the industry's competitiveness.
