In our one world society - how we define geographical space, is undergoing fundamental shifts. - Local happenings are shaped by events occurring many miles away. - Invisible international networks of, primarily - but not exclusively - economical, cultural, and ecological systems supersede national boundaries. The resulting collapse of geographical space - is maybe the most significant change impacting on the current political landscape. In the wake of a new wave of nationalism across the world - creating a platform for a better understanding of these shifts has become even more urgent. This project makes the collapse of space palpable by joining opposite sides of the world in a single image. By applying a set of geographical co-ordinates seemingly unrelated spaces are joined together to create unexpected connections that bring similarity and difference in relationship to one another. In spite of our very different cultural, natural, political, economic environments, working together is the means to make our futures sustainable.
