This paper considers a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) cellular interference channel. In order to exploit the maximum degrees of freedom, the rank constrained rank minimization (RCRM) framework is adopted to formulate the interference alignment for the MIMO cellular network. Considering the practical signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is limited, we propose a joint Frobenius norm and nuclear norm algorithm, which not only maximizes the achievable degrees of freedom but also minimizes the power of the interference matrices. Optimum solutions are iteratively achieved with guaranteed convergence. Simulation results are presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
