WE (Not I) convenes four days and nights of discursive meetings, presentations, and events that bring together a wide range of female artists, writers, curators and thinkers identifying with feminist practices to exchange and produce content addressing questions around the role of "we" in contemporary art practice.Daily work meetings at Artists Space Books & Talks will revolve around the topics of the development of a "we" non-singular voice in art authorship, the gendered and accumulated nature of art historic genius, the radical gesture of "dropping out," the value of the historical legacies of feminist art, and generally the edges of the self as a practitioner.
