Abstract

The research outputs presented as part of this group presentation brought together my sculptural work and drawing/collages as a means of communicating the reciprocity of the two strands. A new sculpture (September 2015) was presented created using a still-life approach i.e. incorporating various elements within a single tableaux. Cuddon also combined the ceramic with which she ordinarily makes sculpture with found materials: wool and textured hard-board ordinarily used as backing for framed pictures. The light-weight, textured surface of this hard-board and it's associations with picture making/framing further emphasizing an entwining between image and object.
