This article explores the recurrent topos that is the Jewish question in the writings of Marguerite Duras, to show how the dialectic stasis/movement on which the Jewish existence seems to be built, according to the author, is reflected in two of her texts, namely Aurélia Steiner and the less known Abahn Sabana David. It ultimately demonstrates the extent to which the figure of the Jew can be seen as an essential vector in understanding Duras’ existential, but also political and historical position.
