Abstract

As the number of embedded systems increases, sodo the demands placed upon them. Current algorithms arecapable of creating adequate schedules under ideal conditions, but can be considered inadequate when many variables mustbe regarded. End users are demanding ever greaterperformance while minimizing failures and powerconsumption, meaning advanced power management must beincorporated into circuit designs; especially in multi-coreenvironments. This paper summarizes the initial investigationinto the simulation of an energy harvesting system to identifykey parameters. This is done by initial multi-vary analysis todetermine primary contributors, which are then refinedthrough Design of Experiments (DoE). Finally, the reducedmodel is subject to control through Statistical Process Control(SPC) to confirm whether monitoring causes a statisticaldifference to the output reliability and if so, what parameterhas the greatest effect.
