Notes: Is seems fashionable at the moment to declare that social inequality is dead in our ‘classless’ society but do such ideas capture what it means to be a working-class lesbian? Does class still have an impact on the way we live our lives and how we see ourselves? I spoke to fifty-three working-class lesbians, in Scotland and England, to find out. In this short piece I would like to offer up some methodological issues raised by considering social class and lesbian identity within the same research framework.
